Bowski Graphics Merchandising was founded by West Virginia native Brandon "Bowski" Calhoun in 2017, but has been designing and working in the industry since 2006.
As a teen growing up in the 90's Bowski was, as most of us were at that time, heavily inspired by music and he always had a dream to become a visual artist for his favorite bands. He followed his dream and attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale for 2D/3D animation to make earth shattering music videos. After college the music industry had changed. MTV was all but dead and the demand for videos/animation dropped drastically but this didn't slow down Bowski's drive to make art in music. Soon after Bowski found his niche designing merchandise, albums and logos when hired by the worlds largest independent record lablel, Psychopathic Records, in 2006.
During his time there he had designed over 400 pieces of merchandise for Insane Clown Posse including Tees, Hoodies, Beanies, Jerseys, and every piece of apparel you can imagine. This lead to more high priority projects such as Billboard topping albums, comic books, DVDs, posters, promo materials and even designed an entire music festival (Gathering of the Juggalos 2013)!
These opportunities lead him to even more opportunities working with even more of his favorite bands such as Tech N9ne, Kottonmouth Kings, Villebillies, Rehab, Bukshot and T.o.n.e-z. At this time Bowski met the fine folks behind world famous heavy metal band Mushroomhead and began working for their online webstore in Tampa, Florida soon after.
Here is where he learned the art of creating merchandise and the trade of ecommerce, he loved it and excelled at it. After a short time with them Bowski had enough saved to travel back home with his newfound skills, open his own merchandising shop and art studio in Beckley, West Virginia in 2017. Bowski Graphics was born.
